4 Hermes
Winged Messenger
Onslaught. Arrival: Draw 1 card.
“Your defeat arrived before I did.”
He carries messages, souls and the occasional stolen herd, and he is never late for any of them. The winged sandals are a formality.

4 Winged Messenger
Onslaught. Arrival: Draw 1 card.
“Your defeat arrived before I did.”
He carries messages, souls and the occasional stolen herd, and he is never late for any of them. The winged sandals are a formality.
6 Aegis Strategist
Guard. Arrival: Give your other units Aegis.
“A battle is won before the first spear falls.”
She was born already armoured and already certain. Her counsel is free and almost never taken in time.
7 Radiant Archer
Arrival: Deal 3 damage to an enemy character, then restore 3 Health to your hero.
“The same light reveals and destroys.”
Plague arrows and healing hymns come from the same quiver. He has never seen a contradiction in that.
5 Wings of Victory
Onslaught. After you cast a spell, gain +1/+1.
“I do not arrive for the battle. I arrive for the end of it.”
Nike flies at the shoulder of whoever is about to win, and she has never once picked wrong. Her wings open wider with every bolt thrown.
7 Queen of the Storm Throne
Aegis. Arrival: Silence an enemy unit. Once per turn, after an enemy unit dies, draw 1 card.
“Kneel, or be corrected. Both end the same way.”
The queen of Olympus grants standing and withdraws it in the same even voice. Rivals discover that her attention was already the sentence.
8 the Hundred-Handed
Guard. After this survives damage, deal 2 damage to all enemy units.
“One hundred hands. Not one of them is open.”
When the Olympians feared a second rebellion they set Briareos beside the throne. They gave him no weapon, having decided he was sufficient without one.
6 Sea-Crowned Queen
Arrival: Summon 2 Nereids.
“The deep does not send its queen alone.”
She refused Poseidon twice and was fetched back by a dolphin the third time. The Nereids who attend her have never once been dismissed.
7 Herald of the Depths
Arrival: Low Tide — Give your other units +0/+2. High Tide — Give them +2 Attack this turn instead.
“Hear the conch. Know what follows.”
His conch can calm a sea or raise one, and he has never explained how he chooses. The fleets simply listen and act.
8 The Swallowing Throat
Arrival: Destroy all enemy units with 3 or less maximum Health.
“Three times a day I am hungry. Plan the crossing.”
She drinks the strait down to its stones and gives it back again, and nothing small that was floating on it comes back with the water. The few who cross her twice describe only the noise.
4 First Out of the Stone
Onslaught. After this attacks, return this unit to your hand.
“Hold the reins loosely. I am only lent.”
Poseidon drove his trident into a Thessalian hillside and the first horse came out of the split, still wet. No stable built since has held him past a single evening.
7 In one batch, deal damage to the enemy hero and to every enemy unit equal to the number of friendly units you control.
“Count my ships. That is the number.”
Sailors number the waves and dread the ninth, which comes in higher than the eight that taught them what to expect. Poseidon has never denied choosing it deliberately.
7 Elder of the Salt Deep
Guard. At the start of your turn, restore 2 Health to all friendly characters.
“Fifty daughters and no patience. Ask quickly.”
The old man of the sea answers truthfully to anyone who can hold on to him, and the list of those who managed it is short. His daughters come up the beach behind him without being called.
6 Keeper of the Gates
Guard. Last Breath: Summon 2 Shades.
“Three throats. No permission to pass.”
He was not set at the gate to keep the living out. He was set there to keep the dead in, and he has never once been distracted.
6 Queen of Asphodel
Arrival: Spend 3 Souls to resurrect your most recent eligible non-token unit costing 3 or less, when possible.
“Even here, something may bloom again.”
She rules half the year below and is not a hostage in either half. What grows in Asphodel grows because she permits it.
8 the Gentle End
Arrival: Destroy an enemy unit with 4 or less Attack.
“No anger. No hurry. Only the end.”
Death itself is a civil servant with an enormous caseload. He was wrestled once, by Heracles, and considers the matter closed.
6 Torch at the Crossroads
At the start of your turn, gain 1 Soul. At the end of your turn, spend 4 Souls to draw 2 cards, when available.
“Three roads. I have already walked all of them.”
Hecate holds the torch at every crossing between the living country and the lower one, and a toll is owed at each. What she gathers by morning she has spent again by dusk.
7 Voice of Vengeance
After an enemy unit dies, deal 2 damage to the enemy hero.
“I do not punish the crime. I punish the one who ordered it.”
Tisiphone is the Fury kept for blood-debt and she does not rest while one stands unpaid. She counts the dead of a battle and sends the whole account to whoever gave the order.
7 Requires and spends 5 Souls: Resurrect your two most recent eligible non-token units, whatever their printed cost. Requires an eligible entry and a board slot; the second resurrection is skipped without one.
“Swear on the black water. It has never yet let go of anything.”
When the black river is called as witness even death keeps its word. The House swears rarely and settles in full, and two names come back up out of the water at once.
4 Mentor of Heroes
Arrival: Give another friendly unit +1/+1.
“Greatness begins with learning where to stand.”
He taught Achilles, Asclepius and Jason, and outlived the patience of all three. A tutor of heroes measures success in the students who no longer need him.
6 Gorgon Queen
Arrival: Stun an enemy unit.
“Look at me. Forget your next step.”
She was a priestess before she was a warning. The gaze is the only part of the punishment that ever worked as intended.
8 Twelvefold Victor
Onslaught. Aegis.
“Tell me which labor this makes.”
He counts the labours out of habit rather than pride. Each one ended the same way, and so will this.
5 Man of Many Turns
Arrival: Return an enemy unit to your opponent's hand, then draw a card.
“You will not remember agreeing to this.”
He is credited with the horse, the bag of winds and ten years of excuses, and he would correct only the last of the three. Every problem he meets is first turned around to see what it is attached to.
8 The Bronze Sentinel
Guard. Last Breath: Deal 3 damage to all units.
“Three circuits a day. No ship lands twice.”
Hephaestus poured him whole and sealed the ichor behind one bronze nail at the ankle. Everything he is made of is still under pressure.
5 The Forethinker
At the start of your turn, draw a card, then deal 1 damage to this unit.
“I already knew how this ends. I did it anyway.”
He handed over fire with the whole sentence already in front of him, down to the bird and the hour it arrives. The chain was never the punishment; the foreknowledge was.
