The painted battle arena: an oval marble board ringed by temples, statues and braziers above the clouds.
How it plays

Gameplay

Turn-based duels between two gods. Every turn more Aether, every card a decision.

The rules in six numbers

30
Health for each hero. Bring the enemy hero to 0 to win.
30
Cards in every deck, exactly: your god’s cards plus the Mortals. Up to 2 copies of a card, 1 of each Mythic.
1 → 10
Aether. Each of your turns raises your maximum by one, to ten, and refills it.
7
Units on each side of the board. Up to 10 cards in hand.
2
Aether for your god’s power, once per turn.
3 / 4
Opening cards for the first and second player, each able to replace any of them once.

Three gods, three mechanics

Zeus on his throne, from his campaign opening film.

Zeus: Storm

A card’s Storm clause is active only if its controller successfully cast another spell earlier this turn.

Skyfire — Deal 1 damage to an enemy character. Deal 2 instead if you have already cast a spell this turn.

Poseidon on his throne, from his campaign opening film.

Poseidon: Tide

Start at Low Tide. At the start of each of your turns after the first, the Tide turns. Cards marked Low Tide or High Tide use only the clause that matches the current Tide.

Tidal Call — At Low Tide, summon a 1/2 Nereid with Guard. At High Tide, give a friendly unit +1/+1 permanently.

Hades on his throne, from his campaign opening film.

Hades: Souls

Start at 0 Souls, up to 10. Gain 1 Soul whenever a friendly non-token unit dies.

Grave Muster — Summon a 1/1 Shade. If you have at least 1 Soul, automatically spend 1 to summon it as a 2/2 instead.
